At the Scotsville School of Crafts, spinning is a craft that is alive and well. Watch a spinner at work, learn about how wool becomes yarn, and if you wish to try your hands at it you are most welcome. No fee, donations accepted. No reservations required, just drop in. 
A handmade quilt is on the frame, and this is your chance to try your stitching, learn how it is done, or just put a few stitches in for us. No registration required, just drop in.

Weaving is acknowledged as one of the oldest surviving crafts in the world. The art of hand weaving is alive on Cape Breton. Each year new students come to learn this ancient craft. Come and try your hand at throwing a shuttle.
